Blog Journal #4

When I first downloaded the iTunes app 'twitter' I honestly did not use it that often because I was young and did not really have any followers. Once I got into high school all of my classmates and friends began using the app more. With the amount of users increasing people began posting about real lie problems because it was the easiest way to connect with the world. Its become beneficial because when I look through my feed I can see political posts from the President, or the latest news. Twitter could be extremely useful for my future career because this source of social media is the easiest way to spread a business. I have seen and followed many companies and stores on my own account just because of my interest in the products being sold. 'Twitter' could also be a great way to network, to meet new people who could possibly hire me in the future.

Digital divide is interesting in my opinion, because people in our society are very dependent on technology, when in reality many people in this world do not have the connection to any technology at all. At schools in cities with a very high rate of poverty, many students are not able to receive the same supplies. Being connected to the internet, allows students to learn from multiple different sources and professors from all over the world, apposed to students who are limited to books and computers from other less fortunate countries.

Academic software I believe should be implemented in future class rooms would be an increase in simulations for students who learn better by doing and seeing up close. For example, simulations for any science class could give students a higher understanding of specific cells or functions. Another software I believe can be beneficial is a device that could help students comprehend different languages so it can be easier in careers to travel and speak in different countries. This sort of device or teaching software could increase communication between societies so that its easier to understand and create peace between countries and their differences.
