With data collection surveys, or excel tools as a teacher for many reasons. As a 6th grade math teacher, by having data collection surveys which gathers information on certain topics. Usually by having information provided on a data collection survey it is easier to comprehend. It is also more organized which allows students to also have a better understanding. Excel is also very useful because it provides many calculations for math problems in each category. Excel is often useful for for a math teacher by looking at numbers provided. I found that there were many interesting topics from reviewing my classmates blogs. Most of the blogs had to do with many similar subjects that helps people relate and have a better understanding of it. Some topics i found interesting all had to do with todays technology. This is very important with todays society with the large amount of technology use. A technology-related skill that I would like to learn next would be computer security. I feel like as technology is becoming more useful and popular, computer use is very popular and we should know the dangerous that can come out of it. Computer security is the protection of computer systems and data that they provide. Having knowledge with computer security is important because it persuades people to carry out their jobs and education. Also most importantly, it protects your personal information.

When working with Diigo, I learned many new skills that I obtained while working. Diigo is basically a social bookmarking website that allows users to bookmark webpage. It is also a powerful research tool that is used by a wide variety of people. In my opinion, this is a good way to develop better reading and research strategies. This application can be useful in my classroom with team members and for my individual professional efforts in many ways. As a whole, it is very useful by having it be a knowledge-sharing community.
