With data collection surveys, or excel tools as a teacher for many reasons. As a 6th grade math teacher, by having data collection surveys which gathers information on certain topics. Usually by having information provided on a data collection survey it is easier to comprehend. It is also more organized which allows students to also have a better understanding. Excel is also very useful because it provides many calculations for math problems in each category. Excel is often useful for for a math teacher by looking at numbers provided. The flipped classroom is used for having a better teaching experience. This is also described as a instructional strategy that changes the traditional learning environment by giving instructional content and instruction outside of the classroom. This instructional design has more activities which results in more people trying to i=engage in it and become more interested. These activities are usually more hands on and requires people to be more creative rather than having homework in the classroom. Open educational resources are different teaching and learning materials. These materials can be digital or any other kind that people allows people to have limited restrictions. When working with Diigo, I learned many new skills that I obtained while working. Diigo is basically a social bookmarking website that allows users to bookmark webpage. It is also a powerful research tool that is used by a wide variety of people. In my opinion, this is a good way to develop better reading and research strategies. This application can be useful in my classroom with team members and for my individual professional efforts in many ways. As a whole, it is very useful by having it be a knowledge-sharing community. My experience with twitter has been an overall good experience. I found it very useful to interact with other people, and find out what is happening in todays world. I learned alot of other things that helped me out with my overall experience. I also learned how to use this as an educational way, by expressing my thoughts on new material learned. Teacher pages on a school websites are very common today. With the wide use of technology and internet based resources, it is easy for teachers, students and parents to access these pages and websites. I find that it is easier for teachers to keep track of what is happening in the classes and keeps parents snd students informed. I personally prefer that my teachers have their won websites so I can find out all the information i need for that specific class. When I did my research I found that majority of the websites are for middle school and elementary school. To access these you would need to log into them. The Smart Board has been a vast part of my learning experience throughout the last few years due to its high quality in technology, which as allowed me to enhance my learning abilities drastically. For example, in my College Algebra class in my freshman year, my professor owned a Smart Board which came with colored pens to write on the board with. Instead of using a white board to do math problems on, we used the Smart Board where instead of having to worry about erasing the whole board afterwards, it simply erases everything on the board with the click of a button. It helped my class go through problems faster, which then helped me advance faster in the class. The Smart Board is a good way for students to all participate in the class, and another advantage of it is to not have to worry about having to read sloppy handwriting.
