Hello to my future bloggers, my name is Carli. Theirs many things I am interested in doing in my personal and free time. Some activities I like to do is play sports. I have played many sports throughout the years such as soccer and lacrosse. I was on the soccer team for my high school my freshman year, and played lacrosse my junior and senior year. I wanted to originally go to school on an academic scholarship at another university but i feel in love with Florida State. I am from south Florida, so i love going to the beach and doing many outdoor activities as well.

I don't have much professional experience with technology but I am very good with prior knowledge from using laptops and several different electronics. I often use it for social media and to watch videos. I also know how to set up TVs, video consoles and other things. When it comes down to Microsoft word, and other programs on the computer I can work the basics with it. I took a CGS class which also helped me learn more about Microsoft excel, word, and office. I would like to know more about the basics of technology to get a better understanding of how these machines work and operate.

In this class with my prior knowledge with some aspects of technology. I hope to know more about it. Technology especially with today's century, everyone uses it. The times has changed dramatically when it comes down to technology because it operates most of today world. By having knowledge of what technology does and how it benefits us, prove how important it is to learn. By taking this class I would be very interested in what new subjects I can be introduced with.

With data collection surveys, or excel tools as a teacher for many reasons. As a 6th grade math teacher, by having data collection surveys which gathers information on certain topics. Usually by having information provided on a data collection survey it is easier to comprehend. It is also more organized which allows students to also have a better understanding. Excel is also very useful because it provides many calculations for math problems in each category. Excel is often useful for for a math teacher by looking at numbers provided. I found that there were many interesting topics from reviewing my classmates blogs. Most of the blogs had to do with many similar subjects that helps people relate and have a better understanding of it. Some topics i found interesting all had to do with todays technology. When working with Diigo, I learned many new skills that I obtained while working. Diigo is basically a social bookmarking website that allows users to bookmark webpage. It is also a powerful research tool that is used by a wide variety of people. In my opinion, this is a good way to develop better reading and research strategies. This application can be useful in my classroom with team members and for my individual professional efforts in many ways. As a whole, it is very useful by having it be a knowledge-sharing community.
